ARTIST STATEMENT
In my artistic endeavor, much like Monet's approach, I've been captivated by the unyielding desire to paint the same subject repeatedly, tirelessly striving to achieve the perfect representation of my thoughts and more importantly feelings. It is as though I have tapped into something profound, an unshakable connection to this subject that I cannot let go of. This artistic journey, I have come to realize, is not just about capturing the essence of the subject, but it also delves into the depths of human connections and the intricate patterns that weave through our lives.
Like Monet's water lilies, my chosen subject of human forms embodies more than meets the eye. It becomes a symbol, a vessel through which I explore the myriad facets of human emotions, relationships, and experiences. Like an intricate tapestry, it is a visual symphony of colours and shapes that echoes the interconnectedness of humanity. Through the ceaseless iterations, I witness the subject transform from one piece to the next, evolving much like the ebb and flow of human connections. Familiar yet abstract.
