Artist's Statement
Art is a transitional process for me that moves from painting the landscape perceptually to one that begins with the essence or mood of each piece.A single mark on the canvas that evolves to a layering process of moving paint until a harmony or resolution is discovered.Expressive brushwork, subtle colour and simple forms define the character of each piece, attuned to an underlying expression of feelings.
