"These vases are part of a series. Many smaller forms are thrown on the wheel and then joined together to make tall vases. I like to focus on form and shape, then add texture once they are together. I love working in this way as it is quite intuitive and spontaneous. The fluidity of form is what informs these pieces and while making them, I visualize the glaze to apply. I am inspired to make more, expanding further form and design."
