Clarence Bourgoin

Canadian painter Clarence Bourgoin was born in Saint-Léonard, New Brunswick in 1946 and has lived in Québec for 30 years.

Figurative artist and part of the expressionist movement, he describes himself as a “landscape hunter”. His 40 year career includes numerous participations in figurative art symposiums in Québec and worldwide as well as prizes and honorary mention awards.

In 2007, during an exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, Mr. Bourgoin was awarded a special prize for his work by the "Bureau de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris". In 2005, the International Artist Magazine highlighted his work in an article titled “Masters Painter of the World Canada Showcase, 2005”. Clarence Bourgoin’s work is repertoried at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and he is adistinguished member of the Institute of Figurative Arts since 2001.The Académie Internationale des Beaux-Arts of Québec named Clarence a Master of Fine Arts in July 2016.
